Michael Topolinski has 20 years of experience in real estate, development, equity investment and distressed asset acquisition. In addition to strong execution experience, Topolinski is distinguished by proven expertise in strategy, deal structure, due diligence, negotiations and an acute ability to successfully close transactions. This includes close management of all matters associated with sourcing opportunities, analyzing values and profit potential, acquisition structure, control of information, measuring results of due diligence, and effectively closing complex transactions. As an international investor, Michael Topolinski has substantial holdings in private companies in North America and Europe. Since 2007, Benevo Capital’s head office has been in Bucharest, Romania.
Aviram has been working in real estate for more than 15 years, having an extensive financial, banking and legal experience in development and property management. Since 2007, Aviram has been the CFO and Director in GTC Romania. During this period completed the development of offices buildings, four shopping centers and more than 1000 apartments in Bucharest. In addition was involved in the early development of shopping malls in Bulgaria and in the last year also the CFO of GTC Hungary. In total, managed a portfolio of approximately 700 million EUR. GTC (Global Trade Center) is one of the leading developers in the CEE and a listed company in Warsaw. Before moving to Romania, Aviram was the CFO in Polar Real Estate, an Israeli company that was developing and managing projects of residential, retail and offices mainly in Israel but also in Budapest, Prague, Warsaw and NY. During this period and as a CFO of a joint venture with Volksbank, Polar and other partner, he became familiar with the CEE markets and decided to move to Romania and joined GTC. Until 2002, Aviram, (as CPA Isr.) has been also a manager in big audit firm, managing one of the major real estate clients in Israel, “Ofer Brothers Properties” which develop and operate significant amount of sqm of retail offices and residential.
Blake Horsley has 10 years’ experience in commercial real estate, specializing in Capital Markets, both transactional and fund raising. Blake started his career in New Zealand, working in Investment Sales for Colliers International. At just 23 years old Blake was appointed manager of the Metropolitan Sales and Leasing Teams in Wellington the capital city, and thus became the youngest ever manager globally for Colliers International, the world’s 3rd largest commercial real estate agency. In 2008 Blake moved to Romania as Director of Capital Markets for Colliers. Blake built this division from scratch and under his guidance over a 5 year period they enjoyed a market share of over 80% of all institutional investment deals closed by real estate agencies in Romania. Over an 18 month period from 2010 Blake also managed the Office Leasing Division for Colliers, when Blake took over the team was 5th in the market in terms of market share for total sqm leased, within 18 months the team had the number 1 market share, following this successful turnaround Blake decided to focus 100% of his attention on Capital Markets from 2011-2013, before joining Benevo in early 2013 as General Manager of Emerging Markets. Over the past 10 years Blake has successfully closed transitions and equity raisings of circa US$500 million. Blake brings a strong knowledge of capital markets, deal structure, private equity and finance structures and lives full time in Eastern Europe. In 2013 Blake became a Vice President and Head of Acquisitions for Benevo.
Burcu Uygurcetin has 10 years’ experience in commercial and retail real estate development and asset management, specializing in the marketing and leasing of shopping centers and office projects. Before joining Benevo, Burcu has held the Chief Marketing Officer position in GTC (Globe Trade Center) Romania, one of the leading developers in CEE region, for over 6 years and taken the leading role in the sales and leasing activities of three shopping centers in Bulgaria for over two years and leased four shopping centers and a prime office building in Romania. Earlier, Burcu also worked as Marketing & Sales Director in Anchor Grup, where she led the marketing of the first two shopping centers in Romania, Bucuresti Mall and Plaza Romania, in addition Burcu also has experience at both GTC and Anchor Grup in residential sales having built over 1500 units. During her career in the region, she has successfully leased over 400,000 sqm. Before moving to Romania, Burcu worked in one of the largest investment banks in Turkey as capital market research analyst where she focused on real estate investment trusts and during this period completed her Executive MBA studies.
Mathieu de Bruin has over 15 years of experience in Real Estate Development, investment and asset management. He started his career in the Dutch real estate market, where he gained experience in developing and delivering complex urban regeneration projects office-, retail- and mixed-use schemes to various institutional investors and pension funds. In the early 2000’s he refocused on international business development for the rapidly expanding Pan-European Retail developer and investor Multi Corporation, for whom he was active in startups of various offices in several markets across SEE and CEE. In 2007 he decided to start up the office of Multi in Ukraine, which was and still is regarded as one of the last remaining emerging retail markets in CEE. During the last two years Mathieu was CEO of one of Ukraine’s largest and most successful retail developers and investors, Arricano Real Estate.
Traian Stan is a Romanian and English speaking Romanian citizen living in Bucharest, Romania. Mr. Stan has 8 years of experience in the residential real estate industry and is experienced in project management, sales and marketing coordination, skills gained in a challenging business environment. Prior to joining Benevo, Stan developed the residential department of one of the top 3 real estate agencies in Romania, trained and coordinated the Project Managers and the sales teams of more than 7 projects in Bucharest, Prahova Valley and Constanta totaling more than 5000 residential units. Mr. Stan joined Benevo in August 2007 as Sales and Acquisitions Manager supervising the sales, acquisitions and marketing activities, managing the relationship with the developers, and creating strategic partnerships within the real estate industry. Through his position of Acquisitions Manager he was actively involved in acquiring the largest residential portfolio of one investor in Romania, totaling more than 907 residential units in 13 different projects with an estimated market value of more than Euro 100 million. Starting with 2010 Mr. Stan became the General Manager of Benevo Capital Corporation and was actively involved in the investment and lead the development activities of the company.
